    Position/Pay: Commission-based, Part-Time (with opportunities for overtime and weekly bonuses)

    Location Eligibility: At this time, we are seeking applicants who reside in the following areas:

    • International: Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Panama, Columbia, Croatia


    Introduction: At MonitorEDU, our proctors play a critical role in helping test takers succeed by creating a calm, secure, and supportive testing environment. As a Remote Proctor, you’ll guide students through their exam setup, monitor live testing sessions, and ensure all rules are followed - all while providing clear, professional support in real time.

    This is a fast-paced role that’s perfect for someone who is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and able to stay calm under pressure


    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise students during standardized testing sessions to ensure compliance with testing protocols.
    • Educate students on test procedures and guidelines prior to the examination.
    • Prepare the testing environment, including setting up materials and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
    • Monitor the testing area for any irregularities or violations of testing rules.
    • Provide assistance to students as needed, addressing any questions or concerns during the examination.
    • Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during testing sessions.
    • Communicate effectively with both students and staff to promote a positive testing experience.

    Technical Requirements: 

    This role requires specific equipment to support multiple testing platforms and ensure a high-quality experience for test takers. Applicants must meet the minimum approved equipment requirements or have a setup that exceeds them. These requirements are essential for this position, not optional:

    • A minimum of Two computers that meet or exceed the specs listed here

    • A minimum of Two monitors
      • One monitor must be 32 inches or larger with 1080p resolution
    • High-speed, stable internet connection
      • A wired connection is strongly preferred for reliability.
    • Headset with microphone
    • A quiet distraction free workspace 

    Computer Literacy Requirements:

    This role requires strong computer skills and comfort working across multiple systems at once. Applicants should be confident in their ability to:

    • Use video conferencing tools (screen sharing, audio/video setup, etc.)
    • Navigate multiple programs, tabs, browsers, and windows simultaneously
    • Follow step-by-step technical instructions
    • Troubleshoot basic computer and internet issues independently
    • Learn new platforms and tools quickly

    Comfort with technology and multitasking is essential.


    Availability Requirements:

    We aim to prioritize candidates with broader availability to ensure we can maintain flexible coverage across all shifts. That said, the following outlines the minimum availability required to qualify for the role

    Maintain availability for a minimum of at least four shifts (blocks) per week, including:

    • A minimum of 1: 6 hour block on two separate weekdays, and
    • A minimum of 1: 6 hour block on BOTH Saturday and Sunday. Weekend availability is required to qualify

    Proctors are expected to work all scheduled shifts within their committed availability. Any unapproved changes to availability from what was established at time of hire may impact scheduling priority and continued eligibility for the role.
     
     
     Communication Requirements:

    • Applicants must be fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong customer service skills - like patience, empathy, and problem-solving are important for this role
    • Candidates who are fluent in Spanish, French, or other languages are strongly encouraged to apply, as multilingual support is highly valuable to our team. Bilingual is always a great plus, but not required

    Training Program & Start Expectations:
    Our training program is designed to set you up for success through structured learning and hands-on experience.

    • Training typically lasts 2–3 weeks, depending on progress
    • Includes guided learning sessions and live practical shifts

      Start & Onboarding Timeline:
      • Onboarding documents must be completed within 1 week of accepting the offer
      • Candidates must be able to begin training within 2 weeks of acceptance
      • Consistent attendance and communication during training are required

  • Desired Experience
    - Previous experience in a classroom setting or educational environment is preferred.
    - Familiarity with standardized testing processes is highly desirable.
    - Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of individuals.
    - Experience working with students, including those in adult education programs, is a plus.
    - Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

    All should be multi-core, with a dedicated graphics processor and 16GB ram, prefer 24-36
